Jaxson Surgery, House Update

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

Jaxson got through his surgery last week with flying colors. What a fun day to wait for 2 hours and 45 minutes with a STARVING baby and sleepy.... but once he finally got back there, it went pretty fast. He ended up having a hydroseal (sp??)- not a hernia- but they are pretty similar. His recovery has been fine- although he has been pretty cranky- I think mostly due to about 10 teeth that seem to be poking through at once. Mack and MA came to help, and that has been wonderful.

For the house, we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Stone is almost finished going up- and we are so happy with our selection! Hopefully they will start sheetrocking this week, and we will get an estimated move-in date!

Jaxson turns 10 months

I can't believe this year is going by so fast! Jaxson is now over 10 months, has his first tooth, and is taking a step now and then! He is saying quite a few words, but only on his own terms. He loves to wrestle, and the only people that get any kisses at all from him are Channing, and his girlfriend, Tanner. He is getting to be quite a lady's man! Channing is such a big help with him... she feeds him and entertains him, and although she is not quite ready- tries to change his diaper. It would just be great if she would warn me first! He did great when we were away for 5 nights in New York, so all my worrying was for nothing!

New York...House Update

I am so far behind, and have so much to write about, so I will start with our trip to New York. Paxton won the big Farm Bureau trip that is for agents and spouses, and this year it was to New York. We had five nights at the Waldorf=Astoria, and that was a wonderful place to stay. Right in the middle of everything, and so nice. The most exciting thing was that I walked right past Jennifer Aniston on the street, and soon found out she was on her way to shoot a movie across the street from our hotel. We loved seeing all the sights... Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, and of course the World Trade Center Site. We saw "Wicked" on Broadway, which was amazing! Overall, New York was much better than I expected. I didn't think the people were all that rude, it was easy to get around, and I could have shopped for days if you know who hadn't been there :)! I guess I can't complain, since he's the reason I was there! We did miss the kids! 5 nights are too long!

Our house is looking great. Should be putting up Stucco early next week. We have windows, a fireplace, patio ceilings, and concrete floors will be stained soon! It's getting fun now!
