Fun Thursday... Channing almost finished!

Thursday, May 31, 2012
Tomorrow is the last day of school! Channing has had such a great year, but the break will be good for all of us. Today was supposed to be her end of year party, but they had no electricity, so it will be tomorrow. She did have a fun time at her friend Presley's party. Then we went to target to stock up on art supplies to get ready for summer!!

What we've been doing!

Went to visit Grandmother in nursing home over Memorial day weekend. It was hard, but she looked and acted great and the place was nice. Got to spend a lot of time with mom and sis, too, which we rarely get to have time alone. That was good. Then went to Mack and Mary Ann's for the night. The new barn is awesome! The art pictures are a couple of Channing's last art projects from kinder.... Almost finished! Boys and I met Paxton for lunch in Denton today.... It was yummy and I just love watching those little guys do just about anything!

Daddy-Daughter Dance and Mother's Day Weekend...

Wednesday, May 16, 2012
I can't really explain what being a mother means to me, or how much I love my children.  Yes, it's hard some days.  Some days I can't imagine washing one more load of laundry or picking up one more toy.  But ALL of the time I LOVE my 3 beautiful babies!  Channing has just turned into such an outgoing, funny, smart, beautiful, little person.  Jaxson is stubborn, funny, shy at times, has the cutest little grin, and just melts my heart.  Maddox....what can I say about a 1 year old with a face like his, a head of hair like his, and a personality like his.  He is just the icing on our family's cake, and we feel so complete.

The funny thing about Mother's Day weekend is that it started with a Daddy/ Daughter dance on Saturday night.  Paxton and Channing were so cute and had such a good time.  We all went to a friend's before the dance to snap some pictures, and Jaxson and Maddox had fun with the other little siblings.  Sunday, the kids and Paxton surprised me with a yummy, healthy breakfast in bed.  Wow, was that nice!  In 6 years I can count on one hand the number of times I was the last one out of bed, so it was such a treat!   Then the kids and I cooked together, and we headed to Payton and Laura's for a fun family dinner.  It was a perfect weekend!

Outdoor Play

Sunday, May 6, 2012
It seems like every year, and maybe it's just me getting older, but I enjoy being outdoors with my kids more and more.  I love watching them play, catch butterflies, water the garden... just play.  I always find them in their own little corner of the world exploring and entertaining themselves.  I've also NOT killed any of my plants yet this year, and my favorite so far are my "confetti bouquets" hanging on the porch.  And I have some pretty, red strawberries!  I know the summer is going to be hot, hot, hot, and we will all be ready for it to end, but I am going to try to soak every bit of it up that I can!
