Channing is Turning 6!

Sunday, July 31, 2011
I am sorry Jaxson!  you turned 3 last month, and you are still waiting for me to do your pics!  But let's get real.....  you will fight it more than anyone, and I know you are not sad!  Anyway, I had to get Chann's invite done, and so we had a little tea party to get some quick pics one evening just before sunset.  This is when I find her the most adorable.  And it is really her.  After 6 years, she still LOVES every one of her dolls and stuffed animals.  She can pretend with those dolls for hours at a time.  She drags Jaxson along with her, and it is just a matter of time till Maddox is in the mix!  She is about to start kindergarten, and although I am really not ready to let her go, I know it is time.  I have held off as long as possible!  She is a sweet, sweet little girl.... always ready to help with any baby or toddler that is around.  She has her own sense of style, and I can count on one hand the number of times I have gotten to choose her clothes in the past year.  But I am proud of her independence and strong will.  We love you Miss Channing!!

Maddox at 5 Months

Our little buddy is now 5 months (actually almost 6 months as this entry is overdue!).  He is the sweetest thing..... trying to pull himself into a sitting position when I have him propped on pillows, then falling over sideways and laughing.  Cracks me up.  He really doesn't show much interest in rolling from back to belly, and we actually swaddled him up until the 5 month mark, which I think may have delayed his rolling.  But he is a cuddle bug and loved to be swaddled.  he sleeps all night just about every night.... from about 9pm- 7:30am.  He "talks" to us, laughs at us, and loves to watch every move that Channing and Jaxson make.  He loves his cereal and banana in the morning, and still loves to nurse, and does fine with formula, too.  I have, however, had mastitis 3 times with him now, so his nursing days may be coming to an end.  I can't afford to keep getting sick with 3 kids to take care of, but I do hate to give it up.  He rarely fusses, and if he does, you can almost count on either feeding him or putting him in his bed and he will be fine.  He hasn't been sick yet, knock on wood!  He does have to go in for his "helmet" consultation on August 8, and I am not as distraught about it as I was at first.  Maddox, we love you, and can't get enough of your easygoing, sweet spirit.  You light up everyday!

Happy Independence Day!

Friday, July 15, 2011
We had so many things packed into our July 4th weekend: A fun party at the Daniel's with a big fireworks show at the country club behind their home on Friday, Rough Rider's game and fireworks on Saturday (Farm Bureau had a suite and Jeff and Allyson came-- yay!), and then a BBQ at M&M's on Sunday.  Probably one of the most fun weekends we have had as a family in a while!  ALL the kids loved the fireworks, even Jaxson (last year he hid from them in the car).  I didn't get a lot of pics that weekend... but here are a few from the game.

Jax Cooking!

If you never want to have a meal at my house, I understand!  But this is how we roll!  Jax LOVES being naked.... even when he's making cookies!

Channing's British Soccer Camp

Thursday, July 7, 2011
Last week Channing went to a soccer camp from 10:30am-12pm.  WOW... was it hot!  She wanted to back out after the first day, but she hung in there all week, and I think she learned some things.  Her coach was Coach Gav, and we loved to hear him say "Nice work, Channing!" in his British accent!  She had play dates afterward almost everyday, and she was pooped by the end of the week.  Then it was time to get ready for July 4th festivities!
