I love being a pregnant soccer mom!

Monday, October 25, 2010
I REALLY love soccer!  Will be sad when it ends!  Yes, it gets us up and at 'em a little too early on Saturday mornings, but watching Channing get out there, get competitive, and just use her body makes me so happy and proud.  I wasn't sure if she would like it, and the first game was rough with her crying 5 minutes into it, but since then, watch out!  She has gotten to be a little soccer champ!  One game she scored 4 goals, and yesterday she scored 2 (I only saw 1 for sure- but she is adamant there were 2!).    But regardless, it teaches them so much to do these things, and it's fun to watch.  On a selfish note, I love all the moms on the team, and look forward to every Thursday practice and every Saturday game so we can chat!  Sometimes, being pregnant and tired, I look for reasons not to get out, and this keeps me going a little bit more!

Baby Hurst Update- Almost 23 Weeks!

Tuesday, October 19, 2010
Went to the dr. for my 22 week check- up.  His heartbeat is 155, and sounds beautiful everytime I hear it!  I felt his hiccups for the first time last night.... the more I feel him, the more I fall in love with him, and my worries that I am already too consumed by love for Channing and Jaxson to love another as much fade away.  I am trying to stay healthy throughout this pregnancy, although that has been a challenge for me.  Seems that every step I take forward with exercise and healthy eating, I take 2 steps backward with another day too busy for exercise and a candy jar raid!  I decorated some pretty fall jars and filled them with candy- big mistake!  I just dumped it all out into plastic bags, which I will be sending to work with Paxton, and I am going to instead fill them with acorns, twigs, and whatever else seems "fall-ish" that the kids and I can find outside.  The kids are both doing awesome- Channing LOVES LOVES LOVES pre-k, and Ms. Robin is working wonders with her, and Jaxson is very clingy right now, but I kind of love it.  He hugs me and wants me all the time.  I know it will pass, so I am trying to enjoy it!

Our Fun Fall Week/ Weekend

Monday, October 18, 2010
This past week has been a blur, but a fun blur anyway.  Paxton left town last Wed. for a work trip, and our good friend Ali, and her kids, Sadie and Tripp came to stay while the husbands were away.  We had some CRAZY kids ruling our house.... sleep deprived kids, teething babies, etc... but we went to the pumpkin patch, met our good friend Laurie and her daughter Kendal at the zoo, did halloween crafts, shopped, and took halloween pics in the yard.... we got a lot done in a short amount of time!  Then Friday it was time for everyone to leave, and Paxton and the kids and I left for Farmersville.  We went to Macy's 1st b-day party on Saturday morning, then celebrated Payton's b-day Saturday night.  We went to the fair on Sunday, which was so crowded and really very little fun :(.  We all wanted corn dogs so bad and the lines were about 45 minutes long for everything.  The kids and I stayed a few extra days and I got to see some good friends, and spend some time with MA, Laura, Paige and the kids at the Arboretum.  It was beautiful there!
Had to include this one!  Love it!

My Tea Party With Ms. Channing

Sunday, October 3, 2010
Sunday was a good day.  Channing had an 8:00am soccer game on Saturday (and she scored 4 GOALS!!!!), then I had sessions back to back on Saturday, so I was ready for a break.  Aside from the fact that we missed church for no good reason at all, it was a beautiful, perfect day.  We played outside in the cool air in the morning....  Paxton and I sipped on coffee while the kids played, we tossed the football, and felt the sun on our faces.  It has been so hot and sticky that going outside is not such a treat, but this morning was nice.  We ate lunch out there, then all went to the grocery store together, and we were in and out so much fast than I can ever do alone.  Then, while Jaxy slept, Channing and I dressed up and set the table for a tea party.  We invited 4 of her dolls to come along, and we had cookies, fruit, and berry tea.  She told me all about her husband, and how he just got fired from his job.  I swear, where does she hear these things!!???

Baby Hurst Update

Friday, October 1, 2010
We found out on Sept. 21, 2010 that we are having...... another boy!  Can't believe it, and I don't know why I can't believe it, but just thought he was going to be a girl.  We are so excited.... Paxton and I made a bet before we went in, he was boy, I was girl.  I was actually going to get Paxton to go to the grocery store AND make me breakfast in bed, but, well, another dream on hold :).  He gets to go hunting twice with no questions asked!  The kids are excited, too.  We took them for ice cream at the DQ to share the news.  Channing said "that's okay.  I will love him even if I don't get to paint his nails".  That girl!  Anyway, all measurements look good, and of course he is SO CUTE already.  Even though it wasn't 3-D, he kind of looked like the other 2 already!  Can't wait to meet him!  I am now 20 weeks and feeling him move a lot.  I was worried that I was going to get HUGE this time around because that first trimester got me so down- I ate terribly and didn't exercise at all.  Now, I am feeling great and wanting to be at least a little more healthy for my baby boy.  I feel like I am gaining weight and showing at a "normal" rate, and feel like the next 4 months are going to fly!
