Channing's First Soccer Game!

Tuesday, September 14, 2010
We were really excited for Chann's first soccer game.  BUT OH MY was it HOT at 11am in Sept. with no shade.  Those poor little girls in their big navy jersey shirts and black shorts!  But it was so fun to watch... half the girls were crying and begging not to play 5 minutes into (Channing being one of them!).  I think all the yelling parents and whistle blowing was too much for 4 and 5 year olds to bear.  She is so hard on herself and told me she was upset that she couldn't "turn the ball around".  Turning the ball around is hard, and of course that is what we are all yelling at them to do!  She said she just wants to practice... doesn't want to go to the games.  We'll see how she does Saturday (and we'll also pray for a breeze and a cloud or 2!)
She is so little, and so adorable if I do say so!

The Two's Can be Terrible.... but oh so cute!

Jaxson, Jaxson, Jaxson.  Well, he was supposed to be with the sitter this morning, sissy is at school, and I was going to get lots of house work done.  But Jaxson cried so hard about leaving that I just couldn't make him go, so here I am with dirty hair, sweats, and picking up mess after mess like most days.  He has gone potty standing on a chair onto the floor, poured dish soup all over the table, poured out a glass of strawberry milk, taken bites out of 4 apples, and really, that is just a few of the messes we have had today.  But he grins, and hugs me, and I melt and really don't care what he does.  But seriously, nap time can't come soon enough!

Only 1 day to finish my last couple of tasks on my 10 day challenge.

No time for more blogging.... have to get to work!

Jax updates

Thursday, September 9, 2010
For anyone who follows both of my blogs, this one is a little redundant, but I loved these pics of Jaxson so much, I had to put them both places.  We went out on a cloudy day after a big rain, and he loves wearing his rain boots.  Very hard for me to get him not putting on his big "SAY CHEESE' smile.  But he leaned against that tree just like a little pro.  Lately it has really been all about Channing, with her new school, starting soccer, birthday, etc.... and sometimes he just needs a little extra attention.  We have so much fun during the day... his new sentence when I scold him is "What?  I not doin' anything!".  Wonder where he heard that!  Also- last night he was trying to close the door and something was in his way, so he yelled out "YOU KNOW WHAT!!!????"  Paxton says he got that from me.... I don't think so!?

What we've been up to....

Monday, September 6, 2010
I have been meaning to update about Channing's new pre-k and upload pics from her first day, and I CAN'T FIND THEM..... I am so upset!  I have only done this one other time, and I am just hoping that I didn't accidentally delete them.  But, the first day she did really well... carried her new personalized backpack, didn't argue about her clothes, and when I picked her up, Ms. Robin said she did AWESOME, listened to instructions so well, and was able to do everything she asked.  I am really happy with my choice to send her there, and I think the small group is going to be good for her.  She is the oldest in the class, but if I would have started her in kinder she would have been the youngest.... so I guess older is better.  The 2nd day was her actual b-day, and I brought cupcakes, took pictures (where are they.... arrrrg), and Ms. Robin even gave her a gift.  It was fun!  Channing had about 2 weeks of birthday festivities this year, and we had a lot of fun!  Then soccer started.... (jaxson is just along for the ride right now :) ).  She has had only one practice, but did great and really got into it.  Paxton is the assistant coach so that helps her to come out of her shell.  We will be busy with practice every Thursday and games every Saturday am.... I am so excited!  Me and Jax have had a lot of mommy and me time...  I have enjoyed getting some one on one with him, and he is SO CUTE at 2 years old!  He bounces in store to store when we run errands and makes everyone smile.  He makes me smile, too, until he throws himself in the floor because we won't let him play with the iphone!  Crazy kid!  Our wonderful friends Jeff, Allyson, Sadie, and Tripp came this weekend.  We had a great time, and just mainly hung around here but did take the kids to the Rainforest Cafe.  Sadie was a little scared, but got used to the lifelike snakes and gorillas and hung in there just fine!
First Soccer Practice... how little are they??? So cute!
