What a GREAT weekend! My friend Stacie called and said she had an extra ticket for her suite for the George Strait/ Reba concert at the new Cowboys stadium. I thought... no way! Paxton was playing in a golf tournament, and with 2 kids- it was just really short notice. But what a miracle! Paxton said he didn't really feel like playing golf anyway- and off I flew to Dallas for the weekend. It was awesome to see Lee Ann Womack (sp??), Blake Shelton, Reba, and George. And that stadium is amazing.... largest retractable roof "in the world".... largest end zone doors "in the world"..... largest screen tv "in the world".... you get the picture. I guess everything really is bigger in Texas. It was the fastest 24 hours of my life- I was home by 11:30 the next morning. "Back to life, back to reality" was the song that kept going through my head as I suffered through the day. But it was great to see their little smiling faces.
Jaxson will be a year old the 27th- I can't believe it! He is now running, and starting to get a little aggressive and hot tempered. Right now it's kind of funny- but in about 6 months he is really going to be giving Chann a run for her money! Channing is 3 going on 30, and everything I tell her gets an "I know" response. I remember doing that to my parents and they got so irritated. I can see why now.
The house is coming along quickly now. We have sheet rock, and the exterior is pretty well finished. It is just what we wanted- so far we are very pleased and it has been an almost stress free experience (with the exception of choosing light fixtures.... wow.... what a nightmare)!
