Jaxson's 2nd Birthday Party!

Whew.... there is something to be said with not having a party at your house... you leave the place, and no more mess!  Love it!  We had his party today at a gymnastics place called LSA.  Loved the morning party... everyone came to play, eat, then home for naps.  The kids love that place.... all the bouncing, climbing, running.  And boy, was it hot in there!  But again, the kids don't seem to mind as much as the parents!  We were all red faced and sweaty!  We had so many sweet friends come to the party, and Jaxson had a blast.  Channing was being a bit of a dare devil on the bounce house slide... made me a nervous wreck!  She did bounce off once.... everyone held their breath... but she bounced up and yelled "I'm fine!!!".  Jaxson stopped being interested in the gifts after he opened his first "horsey" present, and after that, that is all he wanted and ripping into it was his only objective.  But I was so excited opening his gifts!  He got some cool stuff!  I guess that is part of living vicariously through our children... moms don't get 20 gifts at once very often!  So fun to be a kid!

Jaxy turning 2!

Can't believe my sweet little baby boy is turning 2!!!  What is he up to??? Wearing sissy's flip flops, crumbling cornflakes all over the house, taking his diaper off but NOT using the potty, repeating EVERYTHING we say, when I ask him "do you want this or not", he replies "NOT!", sleeping lots of hours (yay!), asking to go to mimi and papaw's daily, calling both pappy and nanny deb: pappy, loving the water, sleeping with at least 2 blankets, still using the "put put" for sleepy time (AKA pacifier), and most of all, being our favorite little lovable boy!

Random Summer 2010 Pics (Rodeo, Sea World, Race)

Need to post a few of these before I get too far behind, and with Jaxson's party coming up, VBS. and Austria, getting behind is inevitable..... here are some from the cowboy fellowship rodeo, play dates at abby's, sea world with christel, cassie, and jen (and kids of course!), my 10K in Blanco (finished in about 58 minutes I think- yay!)  Ran with Laurie!  Such a fun summer so far, and so much left to do!

Visits from my Dad and Deb!

So great to see my Dad and step-mom Memorial Day weekend.  I didn't think after their 11 hour drive they would want to drive to Corpus, but Deb's dad served on the Lexington, so she wanted to tour.  We had SO much fun.  The last time I took Jaxy to the beach by myself, he was eating sand.... this time was a little easier, plus Paxton was there and that always makes things better.  And luckily neither of them are too brave yet, so they don't wander too far from us.  Channing held onto Dad the entire day and gave him lots of good lovin', and he was on cloud nine.  She doesn't always take up with him so quickly... takes her a little time.  But this time around, there was no waiting for warm up.  Jaxson loves both of them, and calls them both "pappy".... doesn't understand that there is a difference.  He would chase Nanny Deb around and yell "PAPPPPPPPYYYYYY!".  So funny.  Sunday we all went to a movie... Deb and I to see "SITCity", and Dad, Pax and the kids to see Shrek.  They said Jaxson asked for me the whole way to the theatre, and Channing told him, "JAxson, deal with it.  Mom will be at the movies, but you're not going to see her!".  Really helpful, Chann!  

Getting ready for Jax's 2nd b-day party.  So excited, and having so much fun with them both.  Although the terrible twos are here full force.  Having trouble with hitting and pinching... pretty embarrassing.  I really hate that part of it!  But he is so funny, too.  Such a dare devil, he puts on my flip flops and finds the highest place in the house he can jump from, just to see if he can land on his feet!
