Padre family vacation!

Day 1:
We have been here one day and are having a blast. We left Maddox with MA, and we are missing him! But I know we made the right decision in leaving him because this would not have been fun for that hot natured boy!!  Laura had to go to her grandmothers funeral and we miss her too! Chann, jax, jade, Cooper, Macy, and Grayson are entertaining one another. We went to the beach for a few hours this morning, but that's about all the little ones can handle. The house we are staying in is so nice and within walking distance to the beach. The sun is intense and it is HOT but the ocean is so cold. Much colder than I expected. We plan to eat out at blackbeard's tonight, and to visit the sea turtle sanctuary tomorrow.
Day 2:
Yesterday was a nice relaxing day, with a 2nd trip over to the beach in the afternoon and then dinner at blackbeard's. The food was great, and although jaxson was so tired he could barely function, he hung in there pretty well. Channing is so different this year than she has been on earlier vacations. So much more independent, and so easy to travel with. I guess at almost 6 she's not a baby anymore!! Paxton bought a couple boogie boards, and chann, jax, Cooper and jade were loving those yesterday afternoon. Also, the island has a huge firework show every weekend and we got to see/ hear that last night. Can't believe Macy and Grayson slept through it!
Day 3: 
Channing gets a stomach virus! My poor baby! The only other time she's ever thrown up was on vacation at Bastrop in the buffet line! She woke up sick yesterday, and it came and went all day.  We went to a sea animal rescue where the kids got to hold various rescued sea and land animals.  Then Chann and I went to the house and waited for everyone else to come back.... she wasn't feeling good at all.  Then I took Jaxson down to the beach, and Paxton stayed here with her. He absolutely loves the boogie board, but only right up by the beach. He also loves to chase all the birds! Channing was feeling better (or so we thought) and we went to eat at Daddy's. The food was good, except Paxton and I shared a Cajun "mix up" which unfortunately was plate full of mostly boiled crawfish. In my opinion they look like giant cockroaches and no way was I going to "suck the head", or whatever they tell you to do!  No sooner than we walked into the parking lot, which was packed by the way with people everywhere, I feel something wet on my legs and look down to see Channing upchucking. We brought her back to the beach house, showered her, and me, and she has been fine since.
