There are soooo many, but here is one that I just have to document:
Maddox: "whaaaay!!!! whaaaaay!!!!" (crying in the backseat on the way to take Jaxson to pre-school)
Jaxson: "Do you think he's crying because he wants to go to baby school?"
Tawny: "I don't know Jaxson, maybe. He loves Mrs. Kelly".
Jaxson: "Yeah, but I don't".
Tawny: "Yes you do!"
Jaxson: "No I don't! I don't like pretty girls. I just like you".
Wow, thanks Jax!
The Last Soccer Game
We LOVE soccer in this house.... so much energy, fast paced, and just fun to watch and play. Channing started off so strong and the first 5 games she just scored one goal after another. She started fizzling out a little toward the end, but I think I just over extended her a little. It was fun to get out one evening a week, get some fresh air, and Payton and Laura and Mack and MA came out for a few games as well.
Channing would always give cute little hugs to all of her teammates, and she seemed to have such a good time!

Drill Team 2011
Against my better judgement, we decided to sign Channing up for drill team (yes, in kindergarten). I thought it would be a great way to get her involved and meeting people since we were so new, and it really was. She enjoyed it. She wasn't just completely fired up about it, but she did with a smile. I got such a kick out of watching her perform, and she tries so hard. She received one the of the "hardest worker" awards at their awards ceremony, and although with soccer, drill team, and just starting kinder, it was a little much, I feel like it did do some confidence boosting for her! We had practices once a week, then they performed at games every Saturday morning. The verdict is out on whether she'll do it next year, but it was a fun activity regardless. Some of the pictures below are from the parade they were in. Jaxson enjoyed waving at all of the floats!
Channing's School Work
Saturday, November 26, 2011
So far, kindergarten has been better than I ever expected. Channing has homework once a week, that is given out on Monday and due on Thursday. She is really doing well, and again, I know that waiting the extra year was a good decision. She loves to read, write, and is coming home solving math problems on her own almost everyday. She has some great friends, and I really love a little girl in her class named Merritt. We had a school field trip last week to the zoo (more pics from that later), and I got a chance to meet more of the kids and parents. Channing and Jaxson both had an awesome time. There is not a ton of volunteer requests, and since Maddox and Jaxson are still so little, that is good for me. I do the pictures for her class, and I also am a "book club" volunteer, and we meet once a month.
Visit from Kristin and Mom
My Mom just celebrated her 50th b-day, and we had a little early celebration at our house a couple of weeks ago. Mom, Kristin, Sean, and the kids all came, and we cooked out, had cake, gifts, and the kids had a blast playing.
Great Wolf Lodge in November
Friday, November 11, 2011
Had a blast on this "make-up" night Great Wolf gave us after they lost our bag on our summer trip. We went with Jeff, Allyson, and the kids, and this time no problems!
