Secrets Royal Beach, Dominican Republic!

Paxton and I just returned from our 9 year anniversary trip to the Dominican.  We chose a Secrets resort because I went to one in Cancun a couple of years ago.... it was fabulous, and it is an adult only resort.   Nothing makes you more homesick than seeing families on vacation with their kids!  Overall, the trip was PERFECT!  Paxton and I spent so much one on one relaxing, we did exactly what we said we would.... stayed at the resort, no excursions or running around or rushing here and there.  We only had 3 nights.... with Maddox being only 4 months we decided that was plenty.  The resort was gorgeous... tons of white sand on the huge beach, and a beautiful pool with a lazy river that stretched around the entire resort.  The food was not quite as good as it was at the Cancun resort, and the room service menu was definitely lacking, which is usually a big treat for me since it is included at an all inclusive resort (love to sleep in and order a nice breakfast at least once, and also love a nice big pizza at 12am.... but not from this menu!).  That was probably our only complaint.  We missed our babies, and were ready to be home when it was time, but it really was blissful talking to Paxton,  about nothing in particular for hours at a time.   When we got home.... not quite the reaction I was hoping for.  Maddox screamed BLOODY MURDER when he saw me, and for the next hour he cried hysterically when he heard my voice or saw my face.  Channing, however, was thrilled, and Mack had re-tought her to swim with no floaties, and we were so proud of her because she was terrified before we left!  Jaxson was trying hard to swim, and I think he believes that he can, so that is scary.  He also was not thrilled to see us, and cried when his mimi left.  But like Paxton said, we should be happy that we have family our kids love so much and we can safely leave them with.  The house was spotless and they kept them on a perfect schedule, making our arrival very easy!  Thanks M&M!
